Help the Hapless Noob. Again (Spoiler)

Okay......I now submit myself to ye olde forum gods with a issue most gaming...

Anyway, I recently had a somewhat "less" then wonderful fight with the old blue dragon in the first level of teh undermountain of HotU. Due to a fear spell, me and my kobold assisstant have kinda died. I ressurected, and instead of teleporting back, first went back to the inn to get an anti-fear item. The issue is that when I returned to the place, the door was locked, and now I can't get my henchman. If anyone knows how I can get inside to ressurect my dead kobold, I would be most appreciative. As a side note, when I tried to lockpick the door, it said it needed a certain key, anyone know where to find this? Meanwhile, I'll go and try bashing at it for an hour or so.
