Help possible bug in HotU spoiler

I want to get to the third level of undermountain, and I put all chains in place but when I want to see te right combination of colours and click on the pool it sais 'you can't use the pool at this time'. What should I do?

Or am I just doing something wrong?

the colours will sequence when you click on the pool, and until the sequence finishes you will not be able to do anything. Also pulling on the wrong chain whilst this is happening makes a mephit/dragon appear which I used for a little xp gain.
