Help please! Stuck in Castle Jhareg (Spoiler)

Could someone please explain how you are supposed to talk talk to Quint and his brother. I have totally cleared out Quint's side and still he is just hostile and I am unable to talk to him. The only thing left on his side is one chest which will not open and the henchman I currently have cannot bash it, she tried for an hour. If I try it just says weapon ineffective. Also If I die the priest in the temple automatically kills me now and he is impossible to kill. If I try to get a new henchman Aribeth and the other guy also kill me now. What is the deal? I am stuck and can go no where. Someone please help me figure this out.

So basically - everybody is hostile to you, including Aribeth and co.?

Then you have either killed off some "innocents" somewhere and messed up your faction, or you have experienced some kind of bug.

My advice is to patch the game fully (to version 1.62) in case you haven't, and then reload to an ealier savegame where everything was "all-right", and then see if the problem happens again.
