Help, a patch screwed up!

I was trying to install the new patches and now when I put the cd in and let it autoplay it does not see that I have it installed. I have made a short for the "NWN Main" from where the game is installed, but it is really really annoying. also it the update was unable to finish! anyone know what to do?

I had EXACTLY the same problem but, if you watch the patch progress, it tells you to go to http://bioware.vo.llnwd.net/o1/never...HotUUpdate.exeto download and directly install the patch. Works like a dream.
