It might be somewhere in your NeverWinter Nights directory. Check for a file like NWN.ini.

I'll look properly for you later.

Is it there? Lucky guess.

Good job you had NWN installed .

Make sure you keep the number safe from those annoying people that have to clear to the place out once in a while...

Very easy. Normally people wait before delivering such praise . Good luck with finding that CD-Key. I'll check my own installation and see if the CD-Key is somewhere in there a bit later.

Oh, do you have NWN installed? It will be harder to get a CD-Key otherwise. If you don't you might need to contact Bioware.

The PDF manual should be somewhere on CD1. I'm not sure if it would have the CD-Key on it though- it's probably just a generic manual. If they included CD-Keys on electronic manuals it would probably spoil the point of having a key in the first place.

You shouldn't need to do an install to find the manual on the CD, but it may be a big search.

I'm going offline now. I'll check through the NWN material and maybe have something for you later.

Good luck.

Contact Bioware and hear about your options, perhaps they can help you.
I don't know if you did it when buying the game, but if you have registred your game on their website, you had the option to write your key for retrival (which was a very good idea of Bioware imo)

However, if not - then I strongly doubt you'll be able to dig out the CD-key from any ini file, it has never been custom to let such information be placed in a settings file.
The only possibility I could think of is that the GUID keys in the registry is an encrypted version of your key, but that will do you no good either.

But contact Bioware and hear about your options. They are the only ones that can help you.

Oh - and as advice, it is generally a good idea to actually name your thread something relevant - and perhaps use just the one e? It will make it easier for people to actually help you.

Uh, sorry to contradict you Xandax, but there is a file in the NWN directory called NWNCDKey.ini that seems to record the CD Keys from NWN and expansions . Look in the main directory and open the .ini file with a program such as Notepad.

I think it's main purpose is to allow you to consult it for entering the numbers in the Bioware website. Not that I think it's wise that numbers are kept on the PC like that.

I'm not sure if Sononara has NWN installed though. If it isn't, then I recommend following Xandax's instructions and contact Bioware.

btw, the pdf manual does not show the front and back page of the manual- so no CD Key to be found there .

oh but wait... for the key to register itself on the cd, a suppose there would have to be a file or pragramme that records the key, should there not?
