Having Problems

I cant log onto Argyle. It says that I dont have the right version, although I checked and I downloaded everything. But, was it right to put the hak pak in the hak folder? Any response is welcome.

Downgrade to 1.26. Argyle hasn't been updated for the newest patch yet. Also, make sure you have the hak pack in the right folder.

Thanks for the help Aegis. I'll try Hak Pak 1.26. By the way, where can you find that?

Not hak pak 1.26, patch 1.26 instead of 1.27.
Hak is 1.5 I think and the link must be somwhere on the boards.

Hack pak is the group of files and rules modifications that you need to play Argyle. Argyle is an HCR (Hard Core Rules) world. It uses a custom set of rules that allow for perma-death (when you go below 0 hps you are incapacitated and will slowly bleed to death until you get to -10 hps - and then you die for good - no repawn) as well as many other modifications to spell effects, experience point awards, and general difficulty settings.

To play in Argyle you need to download the hak pak off the server information section of Ruminations.

HCR rules - rule! - Its the only way to play - and if you don't think it makes the game more difficult ask Aegis - I have seen at least 4 of his chars lying dead on the ground in the last few days.

Poor Anduin... Killed by a goblin, saved by Legebrin (Smass) then killed by another goblin, saved by Legebrin and Xeo (Smass and CE), the jumped by a headless wonder.... Sigh... He was level 4 too... I hope Aegis and Merek do better...
