Final battle question (spoilers)

Okay, I'm up to the final battle with Morag. I've manage to take out her minions (the two "hands") and now I'm just left with Morag. Based on what I read online, I need to get to the "protectors" to make her vulnerable to my damage by breaking the statue to get rid of the spikes...

And my problem is, how do I break the statue? I've tried two different weapons, a blade and a club, and it gives me the whole weapon has no effect thing and I cant seem to break the statue in time. Any ideas or tips would be helpful...

Nevermind, figured it out on my own.

If your character is an arcane spellcaster, try casting fireball or other damaging area-of-effect spells on the statue. If that does not work, that's where your henchman (and you ofcourse) comes in. I really like having daelan red tiger as a henchman when my character is a spellcaster. I buffed him up before the last battle and prepared healing potions for him. My character usually is not the one who's hacking away at Morag and her ilk; Daelan is doing great in it. But if his hp drops low, I rush in and make him drink those healing potions. A fighter character would do great in Knocking Morag down. Just give lots of points in the Strenght ability.
