Drow battle in Undermountain level 3?

I am having a big headache trying to kill the drows. Most of the time I just last a couple of minutes before Deekin and I get wiped out by the spell-casters. My character is a PM, level 23. There are simply too many drows. How can I win this seemingly impossible battle?

Have you tryed using the ballistas that Nattyra mentions?

If I remember this battle correctly you must sneak up on the ballistas and at least take them out even if you don't use them. It's been awhile since I played but I think there is some sort of back entrance to get to the ballistas first. I then tried to stay around the edges and take the enemies in smaller groups.
