23rd lev Paladin, Aribeth and the Drow assassin. I have cast Freedom of Movement, Prayer, Divine Intervention. I am using the Ensarric Long Sword and +4 shield. My AC is 36

I see.... Your main problem then is the equipment you're using. I think I had a +10 sword and pretty much +7 or +10 armors as well. You're also about 4 levels lower than I am when I'm there.

I've never experienced problems with my equipment, so the only thing I can think of is to use the djinni bottle and perhaps buy something better from him.

I ended up using my +5 Harbinger two hander and got through it okay. Now I'm stuck in the puzzle room. The gargoyles are activated but the lightening door does not blow up.

The puzzle is a little more difficult than it appears. Pay attention to the colors.
