I have a few newbie questions form an old pnp player.
I just finished TOEE and I was wondering about some questions here in NWN.

I have a Cleric/Rouge (7/1) and I was wondering about my Cleric’s abilities (She has 18’s for CON, WIS and CHA)
1. When turning undead, will my Cleric receive exp points after turning the undead? Or do I just get the undead destroyed and move on with life.
2. Can a morningstar be “upgraded” by Morrak in the central city. Can it be enhanced to the point it will assist me with undead? Would it be better than my current mace +1/+2 vs. undead? What would the enhancements be? Moreover, can any weapon be upgraded or does it have to be magical first?
3. Can my turning abilities be used on more powerful undead (zombie lord, skeleton mage, etc). If so how does turning them work? If they aren’t turned\destroyed will they be hurt or have a reduction of HP?
4. Also, what is ale and wine that I have been finding used for? Does it help with any quest or event?
Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance

1) If Undeads are destroyed, I do recall you getting XP for them. If they are simply turned and runs away in fear they are still "alive", and thus you will not get XP for that.

2)Take a look at this thread for recipies for weapon upgrades/creations: http://gamebanshee.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22603
There is a recipy for Morningstars. You can also read the recipies in-game when talking to the proper people and getting the books.

3) If a Turn Undead dosen't turn or destroy an Undead - they are unaffected. They will get no penalties nor you any bonus.

4) Getting drunk. I belive you get some bonus and penalties while drunk, but can't remember it. Just sell them or toss them away - it isn't worth carrying around.

I find some of the higher undead extrémely hard to turn even if you have
a cleric built for turning. In the end you get to face Mummylords and other
not-so-nice undead and you need alot of luck with your rolls to be able to
turn one of those.
I had a lvl 14 cleric built up as a priest, focused in healing and turning.
when she reached the city of luskan and started to face those rather
nasty versions of Mummys, she could not turn them no matter how much
she tried, which pissed my of alot.
