Charged Lance = Double Damage ?

I read in the rules, that (mounted) charges done with lances do double damage (if successfull).
Since I am still waiting for the game, I like to ask:
1. Does Charge work ?
2. How often can you charge per fight ?
3. Is it a practical start attack or is it hard to get it landed ?
4. Do lances really do double damage ?

First off, charging has not been put in NwN. Secondly, you can also use a lance to charge if your are riding a mountable creature, such as a horse. There is no riding in NwN, so that also scratches it out. Thirdly, lances aren't in NwN. Three strikes, you're out.
