Cant cast spells

Im a cleric of who ever it is, but i cant cast: summon monster 1, hold person, doom, or any other sdpell of that kind.
WHy is this? By the way, Ravager, i found my key!

Are you sure you are not trying to cast arcane spells (wizards/sorcerers/bards) with your cleric whom can only cast divine spells(clerics/druids/rangers/paladins )?

If you are - then are you trying to cast from scrolls or memorized?

It says they are: mage, sourceror, bard, paladin, druid, cleric, ranger spells. so its a spell for all of em.

If you're trying to cast a spell off a scroll, is it above your level? I know arcane spells can't be copied if they're above the caster's spell casting capability but I can't remeber if the same applies to casting from scrolls.

Also, is your WIS high enough to cast those spells? It needs to be high enough so you can get access to those spells e.g. 14 WIS would allow you access to 4th level spells but not 5th.
