AC or AB

I was curious which is better to have a build with. High AC or BAB. I just stated playing online with NWN, and have seen characters with both. Some builds I have been told have naked ACs of 44 and BAB of 39. Not sure if thats good or not, just give me some input. Thanks

Just to let you know, that is pretty good. I suggest going with a higher AB first, along with more damage. My uncle has a saying, "Throw the first punch and make it hard so you don't have to throw another one." Have a high AB does just that. Kill the monster before he can swing. Then work on your AC with things like shields, armor, cloaks, and tumble.
