75 exp with cleric per undead, only 13 with pal/sorc?

Right, I tested something right now, and as a 3rd level cleric, I gain 75 exp per undead when I kill one with turn undead.

With my Pal2/Sorc1 character, I gain ONLY 13 exp per undead...how is that? It's not multiclassing penalty because my race is human...

So what's up with the massive exp loss anyway? Or is it class dependent?

One last thing I'd like to ask, is whether ALL characters can achieve level 9 in the first act of NWN (assuming you kill every monster and opponent etc), or does the experience system give different experience according to your class or something?

Hope I get a reply fast on this one, thanks

Edit: I also wanted to ask, what's the bets way to gain as much exp as possible? Are there monsters I should kill first and the ones I should kill last to gain some more exp?

In other words, is there an order in which monsters can be killed to gain more exp maybe? Or is it all the same regardless of what you do?

Exp is class dependent.

Fighter types (as your paladin) gets less experience from killing "melee" monsters, such as regular zombies.

Spellcasters (sorcerers for sure, but I'm not sure about the clerics) gets more experience from killing melee monsters and less from mages.

At least that's how I think it works.

I see. Should this be true, it means that fighter type classes get the least exp in the game since the most monsters are melee, if I am not mistaken.

That sure sucks, though I hope you are wrong lol ^^

I do know that 75 exp for a CR "easy" zombie with a cleric is just sick...I don't believe a class can get THAT much extra exp...

Does this mean that my Pal2/Sorc2 gets around an equal amount of exp from both types of enemies (because I am both melee AND caster)?

I'd guess that you get the worst exp possible, ie since you have Pal2, you'll be charged for that.

But the 'more exp' for casters goes just up to level 8. IIRC you're basically considered to be level 1 until level 4, then level 2 until you're level 8.

In NWN, it's used to help the weaker classes level up quicker to the point they can stand on their own. Wizards and Sorcerers are treated as level 1 characters until they reach level 4, when they get treated as level 2. This keeps going all the way to level 8. That's why you're seeing more XP per kill at the early levels.

Ah right, I see thanks for clearing that up I guess it's not that bad if I take 3 levels of caster, kills some undead and get level 4 fast. Tried that today and worked like a charm!

OH, I always wanted to ask - what does "IIRC" mean actually?

Thank you
