AND, maybe out of context (for another forum) do you play those "GAMES" which are in fact web sites? right now im playing a couple of them but htey're in SPANISH... anyway, if you can understand them here are the sites:

I did play 2 MMORPGs before, though both were in open beta at that time. The first one was Aspereta (Open beta, now Illutia). Played it 2 years ago and was interesting at first but grew fed up with the game due to the numerous bugs and glitches that plagues the game.

The second game was ROSE Online (Open beta). Played it at the middle of last year. Looked interesting, way much stable than Aspereta (Illutia) but the repetitiveness of the game turned me off and from then on, I never touched an MMORPG again.

I can warmly recommand on Pristontale( great MMorpg unfortunately free to play till lvl 39), MapleStory (2D game but i am sure you will enjoy it) and conquer (3D characters on a 2D world, nice combination- you should try it). thats all for now cya.

Not playing any MMOG at the present time, but outside (closed) betas, I*ve played DAOC for numerous years, EVE-Online for 6 months and played WoW for about year and a half.
I've beta tested for shorter and longer duration (outside the above): Wish (got cancled, think the same day as WoW got released in Europe), Saga of Ryzom, SWG and DDO.

Don't worry, I play RuneScape, so you're not the worst case around.

I've played SoR, it was nice, but it was quite annoying because clans hound you to join them, and try to get gear for you to convince you.

That kinda spoiled my enjoyment of it, I liked fighting things on my own and dying stupidly on my own.

i play ffxi. its much better than any i've tried... not stuck with one or two jobs, much harder, PvE for the most part. i found that, like all mmorpgs i'm sure, if you dont have someone online to fool around with, or even get serious with, it gets boring. but its way fun! i'm not playing atm cuz of financial issues, but i should be back up within a month.

I'm currently playing Anarchy Online, but I've played City of Heroes/Villains, FFXI, WoW, DaoC, EQ, Horizons, EVE, MapleStory (if you consider that an MMO...), DragonRealms, Gemstone, Modus Operandi, Xena & Hercules, Asheron's Call 2 and last and definitely the least, The Realm.

While City of Heroes/Villains is definitely the most *fun* game, AO is one of the more interesting long-term games for me.

I never got around to trying MxO, SWG, DDO, EQ2, GW, Lineage II, UO or the others..

I'm waiting for Age of Conan or Vanguard currently..

DragonRealms, Gemstone, Modus Operandi,

They're still playing Simutronics' text-based MMORPGs? Glad to see it, but I thought the draw would have worn down a bit with all the graphics-based games out there.

Hmm, I've currently got Space Cowboy on my computer. I'm not the major MMO player in the house, though, the wife is, with EVE, WoW and Everquest on here. I might be picking up a MMO myself, so I'm just wandering the market at the mo'.

Well I don't play them anymore... granted I did go back to see what was up a few months ago, but it's the same old stuff. I wonder how they can charge $15 a month for it, it's amazing. Did you know they have elite accounts for like $50+ a month still? Insane...

But yeah, apparently they still draw about 600 - 1000 players a day to DR at least. I was pretty surprised too.

Back in gEnie days, $50/month was nothing for some Gemstoners. I remember knowing a few folks who would show up for a month, play out their credit cards to the max, pay it off the next month (when they were out of the game), then repeat. Some had bills exceeding $500/month, and I'm not joking. Then AOL came along and all that changed, of course. I can't help thinking it wasn't all to the good when the game suddenly jumped form 100+ people online at a time to 1000-1500 people. The revenues greatly increased, but the roleplaying and interactions simply went through the ground.

I used to play RS, but it has been veeeeery long time since my last session... and haven't played any other MMO since that.

Maybe I should restart playing RS, it was rather good game at that time actually...

I too played runescape but just because I had a couple friends with and we just went to the wilderness to whoop ass. Then it got boring.
