Question Ultima Online (moved to MMORPG discussion)

Just curious if anyone still plays the UO, not the new UO:X 3D, but; the old one with the 2D animation. I still play is from time to time but; not the pay to play game I play a freeshard server instead.

I used to, up until a few months ago I played on UO Gamers: Demise and UO Gamers: Hybrid. I haven't played on osi (the official ea games server) in about 2 years, I quit when UO: Age of shadows came out. It was an amazing game when it launched, back in the renaissance days, ah the nostalgia.

Moving it to MMORPG discussion, which is a better place for this.

Well populated and managed retro shard Publish 15. Might be to your tastes, certainly is to mine (compared to the abomination that is now the OSI servers).

Been playing UO Since the day it came out, Me and my cousin and his gf use to play,

With Avengar and turtle girl, the two most famous old time pvpers in the game, back when it was skill based, now its all item based, but even through me and my cousin Rule the game, our guild is top dog on many of the servers, lol

UO and Everquest: Ruins of Kunark were the first MMORPG's I played. I had great fun with UO back then but UO and EQ were the only decent MMO's at the time and now the market is flooded with them. Neither game really appeals to me anymore. I did try the new UO when it was beta'd and it did look very nice but I just couldn't get back into the whole UO experience. Feels a little archaic by today's standards.
