I would play forever if this could happen

Had another dream for some ideas for DAoC. Here's a few, bash me if you wan't, as I know some of my ideas are dumb, but other's are pretty cool. My only purpose is to ty to add a little more realism to an already great game.

1. God points. Each relm has its own "god" that they pray to right? Well make it so that in PVP, everytime you kill an invader in your realm, you also earn "god"points, so that after a certain amount are earned, that person can call forth favors from their god, Say like a bolt of lightning to strike down a baddy or two, or summon Arc-Angels to aid you in combat. Or maybe after a total accumulation of points are earned for your realm, your "god" will randomly pick an invader and fry his sorry behind.

2. Bodyguards. I know I know, what am I a wimp and can't protect myself? well... maybe. But I think maybe you could incorperate an NPC that commissions out bodyguards, that you of course have to pay a large amount of gold to use. I realize that a certain class already has this type of feature called pets, but still, someone might want Kevin Costner to pick up for them. You would have to pay a certain amount of money each day. If you don't have enough to rent him, he goes home. You could even have different levels of bodyguards, costing different amounts.

3. Bounty Hunters. You want a certain person from another realm killed, so you pay an NPC and he sends a NPC bounty hunter out to that realm and the bounty hunter tracks you down and tries to kill you. Maybe he could just be limitted to PVP areas, or maybe he can just appear in you realm and track you down. Now that would keep you on your toes, knowing that someone might be running up on you at anytime. Or maybe you could go to this NPC and place a bounty on so-and-so's head. Then someone else goes to that NPCs and gets a list of people who have bounties on their heads, and they track that person down in the PVP areas, kill them, and bring back their head to the NPC and get a reward. And make it fiar to the person being hunted, if he kills the bounty hunter, he gets a good amount of exp/loot.

4. Plaque. Relax, befor you say that I'm going to far, hear me out. You could buy (for a huge amount of money) a poison that can be used to infect an realm invader. He gets that plaque and everyone else he comes in contact with gets it (ie, anyone he talks to, trades with, gets heals from) The end result is you could be handicapped in abilites, and if left untreated, die. Again, just some things that can be thrown into the game for some really added realism. How to get rid of it?
a. Die
b. Get healed from a proper plaque healing NPC
c. Give the healing class a new plaque healing spell.

5. Rebel NPC's. At any given time, everyone in the realm gets a message stating that NPC 'John Doe' has turned traitor and is roaming your realm lands causing trouble. Killing him will earn you some nifty exp/loot. Imagine the rat-race to try to find this guy and slay him.

6. Buried Treasure. Ultima Online did this and it was a tad frustrating. But in DAoC, once a day or every 2 days, 1 creature in your realm will hold a map. Totally random creature. You happen to kill this creature and he drops the map, you read the map and it reads a certain set of coordinates and in a certain area. Go to that spot, type /dig, and bingo, you have treasure. Now some people ask how will this work when some creatures change as night becomes day, and vice versa. Well just have it change from creature to creature so it constantly gets changed back and forth from night creature to day creature. So people might say what????? But others understand what I mean.

7. Survivor Points. If you kill 100 baddies (of same or higher level as you) without dying once, you get a reward. Careful, that tree looks dangerous.

Well thats all I have for now. I know alot of you might think that these are stupid and will never fly, But hey, I just wanted to express my silly ideas. Thanks for reading!

LOL those sound good, especially the bounty hunter one it should be an NPC equal to your level, so at least you have somewhat of a chance. I would like to see someone shot from a catapult, that would be great to see.

The body guard is "somewhat" there already.
You just need a person with good shield skills and the shield skill "Guard" - I have used this often in RvR when our healer had to go forward to heal/ress somebody, I have blocked numerous arrows against him and against our Runemaster.
My Thane also have the skill "Intercept" with wich I can use to take a hit instead of the person I've got it on.
This works best in PvE becasue of the more "oragnised" combat, but I did save a healer from dying because I took a 150+ hit on him - it costed me 350 hit points - but our healer lived.

The bounty hunter thingy - could be quite fun in RvR - imgagine a Commander plowing through an army to get to little ole you
(Should be expensive)
