It worked for me on a PII 350MHz and 128 RAM with a Voodoo 3.

It also worked on a AMD 400MHz with 64 RAM and a Voodoo 3.

Note that it ran well enough in the outdoor zones but cities were nearly impossible to move in, due to video lag. I never had a chance to try the dundeons.

Hope that helps,
Equis

Nothing more than video lag...the framerates near buildings or inside cities wasn't fun. I imagine a big PvP battle would be the same.

I got DSL, will that help?

Also try the old saying...

"When there is lag everyone shot 'LAG!' and the old man will hear you and hit the lag machine with a broom."

I've never played it on less than DSL so I don't know if it really helps. I'm sure it does. If you can keep your connection lag to a minimum, that helps overcome some of the video lag you will experience.

Also, what I found is that a faster processor makes more of a difference than the video card. The same video card in a 550 MHz machine is much much better. So if you consider upgrading, you might consider that first.

Heres what u do, go out and buy a P3 800 Mhz processor chip, pop it in(if your Motherboard supports Pentium) This will cost about ...oh.....180 bucks(i work at a comp. store) and you will be able to run it no prob. Mythic designed DAoC to run perfectly with a 56k modem. Running DSL is awesome, i have it. So, a P3 800 will guarantee you easy playing.

True about processor. I was playing on a 700mhz machine with a geforce2 gts video card and upgraded to an Athlon XP 1700 chip and the cities smoothed out considerably.
