Post Does anyone like this game? Should I get it?

It got rave reviews, but I feel a bit deterred by the paucity of posts on the DAoC board?

I Found that the game is very well done. I have played UO, but this is much better. The graphics are very nice, but it is the gameplay that I have found to be much better. The game is well balanced. I would recomend this game.

I'm planning on getting the game for Christmas. Can someone please inform me as to how much a month it costs to play online. I've heard of other companies charging $5, which sounds reasonable. Thanks!

I'm seriously considering buying this game. First, I'll need to upgrade my computer from 64 to 128MB RAM.
Second, I've never played a MORPG before. This sounds like fun though.
I'm a bit surprised that very few people post on this forum. On the BG forums you'll post a topic and a few hours later, max, someone will have responded.
I really like that!

I have never played this game but I did recently upgrade my pc from 128 to 384 mb.

I would recommend buying more, 128 mb isn't mutch anymore. At least buy 128 so you will get a total of 192 mb.
And if you buy 265 mb you can always plug it into your new comp when/if you buy one.

Just my thoughts...

Rob-hin, you're right about the RAM-thing... =sigh= We Dutch are such a smart bunch!
What would be a fun class to begin with? I'm thinking one of the thief-like classes such as the infiltrator. Or maybe a fighterclass? Any thoughts on this, anyone?

As I said, I know next to nothing about the game, but I'll try helping you anyway!

What I did when I created my character in BG, I looked at what kind of person I am in real life and based my character on that.

Perhaps an idea for you?

Ps. Yes, we are a smart bunch!

Having only played the european Beta version as of yet - I'm seriously thinking of getting the full game when released in denmark.

Although the game is somewhat uniform I feel that it is a good game (plus it will give me something to do while waiting for NwN )

There is although a little to much Diablo 2 over it, whit this I mean that a lot of the game revolves around hacking down monsters - but if you are dedicated you should/could roleplay your character - and this opens up a lot of perspective (especially if you can group up with others that feel the same way).
But I've also seen that many people are helpsome in this game - maybe it is because PvP(player vs. player) has been limited to RvR (realm vs. realm) combat, I have often asked and recived the help of strangers when lost in the woods or trying to complete a quest.
