Can europeans play on USA servers

I really want to play this game but do not want to have to wait until january, so if I buy an american version can I play it here in scotland.

Or else how do I get on the beta testing

I see no reason why not, I have not played this game but have just ordered it from an American supplier. I play Asheron's Call with a game bought from America and the servers on sv game are all in the USA.
