Dear friends of Wish:
Unfortunately we have bad news.
After careful consideration of all the facts and analyzing all the data which we have gathered from the Wish Beta 2.0 test so far, we have decided to cancel the Wish project.
Our Beta test will end this evening at 6pm EST, and at this time our Beta forums will close as well.
We enjoyed working together with our fans very much, and we are very sorry about this development. We wish you the best of luck in the future, and hope that you continue to enjoy online gaming, even with Mutable Realms and Wish not being available anymore.
We also wish the best luck to our competitors, and hope that they will not suffer the same fate as us.
Best regards,
Your Mutable Realms Team

A MMORPG named Wish has been cancelled. So what I hear most asking, because there is WoW and EQ2 (and the rest).
Well because Wish - just like was the case with Dragon Empires not that long ago - was promising some new things that could have added a lot to the genre.
Amongst other things was "live content". Players would participate in the game-world story which would unfold as they played along. This was to be ensured by a team of story-writers whom would make the story and new quests as the game unfolded.
Another thing was the ecosystem which meant that people had to hunt for monsters. They would not simply spawn the same location each and everytime. Hunt them to much and they would become wiped out - for a while at least. They would migrate and "live" their own lives.
And much much more......
Wish was - together with Dark n' Light (better check up if that is still running) and Dragon Empires something that could very well have been the more mature MMORPGs, and could easily have added new benchmarking to the genre.
It is so sad in this day and age, that all that seems to do well is very fast and easy action. Is it computer gamers that have becomed more stupid - or is it the developers that just cater to the lowest common denominator. Well that is a question for another thread.
I'm just very sad at the moment

And it annoys me immensly that I didn't take the chance to play the game more, now that I had the beta.
