ME2 Release Date Announced/Preorder Incentives

For those of you playing at home, BioWare has officially announced the projected release date of Mass Effect 2. Barring any delays we'll be able to get our hands on it on January 26th, 2010, so mark your calendars and ready your Shepards.

To ensure you get your copy additional perks include two sets or armors. Preorders made with GameStop will come with the exclusive Terminus gear and a weapon, whereas other gaming stores will offer up the Inferno armor.

In addition don't forget that preordering the Collector's Edition of Dragon Age: Origins will also net you the Blood Dragon armor for ME2.

Just a quick update, in case you missed it: GameStop is no longer taking pre-orders for the Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 2. If you're looking to get the CE version of the game but haven't yet, check with your other local retailers to see if they can help you out.

The CE edition comes with a third disk containing video of the creation process of ME2 (the game itself will be on two disks, requiring a disk swap on both the PC and 360), the first Redemption comic book from Dark Horse, a book of concept art and more.
