Skill upgrade

I lost the original player's guide, and don't know how to upgrade the skill points. I have tried to push the ones I want to get the skill points but it doesn't work. I have all these skill points, but don't know how to distribute them. Please help! Thanks!

Next to each branch is a small + sign. So you should see this:

Tribal branch +
Divine branch +

etc.... use the small + to add points to the branch.

hey i am stuck too but clicking on the (+) does not work!!! i have 67 skill points but it will not let me use them. please help!!!

Push the + signs right by the numbers.

That's exactly his problem, pushing the + doesn't work for him.

Hey guys, is the (+) sign in the skills menu or the attributes menu??? maybe i am doing it wrong. In the skills menu there is like two handed and then above is a (+) on the branch line is that it? I have tried that but it does not work. Its pretty wierd. It sucks because my characters is really bad because i cant upgrade! Any suggestions?

No, its not the x above the branch, its the small x next to each branch skill when you mouseover:
