help me with the Guardian of the Lance

How do I kill the Guardian of the Lance, he recovers extremely quickly

What's your character like? That might help us.
Also, have you checked the Gamebanshee walkthrough? Off hand, I can't really remember which fight you're referring to.

well you see there are two possibility combats you are talking about.

the fake lance guarded by an undead, a skeletal warrior i think, he is dificult to beat bacause he has a lot of hp and hits really hard ( as i remenber ).
i beat him using both magic and sword, fire spells worked fine but i realise sinse he is an undead holy magic will do more damage if you use spells like exorcism and holy smite. and remenber to bring a LOT of healing potions you surely will need thouse in the crypt ( i brought nearly 20 healing potions and 12 greater healing... belive me all gone before the boss)

and if this guardian you are talking is in fact one of the assassins, i could give a few advices booster your self with many potions of speed, strenth ( if fighter), defense, and anything else you find and again a lot of healing potions. in this case is good you bring any allie ( if there is one left) because you enemy has the habilit to became invisible and do " sneak ataks ", if you have an allie ataking, when he became invisible your allies will keep traking him down and reveling to you his location.
sinse you are in the crypt remenber to bring joan d'arc with you on this fight ( she along side with sir jorge templeton are the few good alies of the entire game) see in the companion posted sioux how to get her.

The guardian of the lance is a REVENANT yes a REVENANT. it doesnt recover hp but it has a nasty vampiric attack.(leaches 30-40% of the damage it deals) and high hp. go for hit and run attacks(mainly fire attacks cuz it does more dmg.) or you could go for exorcism. if you have any spells to knock it down use it. make sure it goes down to the floor and stays there and the whole thing will be done and over with.
