Why writers of powergaming guides consider BAB almost irrelevant?

Reading guides of powergaming guides, when considering what caracters to choose, and comparing things like barbarian vs cleric they just say "barbarbarian have one extra attack, wich is not that importat" etc..
But they don't talk about barbarian for example having almost 60% more Bab
why is that?
it's a bug in the game that doesn't consider more than a certain amount of bab?

60% more BAB isn't true. Warriors get +1 BAB, priest/rogues +0.75 BAB and mages +0.5 BAB per level.
The number of base attacks per round you can have is capped at 4 which is reached with a BAB of 16.

Since your characters will only reach level 16 during the normal game it does matter, but powergamers are only interested how powerful their characters are once they cheated them up to level 30 via level-squatting. And even a cleric4/mage26 gets the 4 attacks per round for 16 BAB then. So there's only the difference in to hit bonus, which doesn't really matter if your party has a far higher level than it's supposed to and is easily overcompensated with the casters' high level self-buffs which can make them hit even better and nearly invulnerable to damage.

first off the lev cap is 20 so using lev 30 chars is cheating anyway.
i agree entirely at lev 20 a fighter, paladin or barbarian is nearly as importent as a cleric and more useful than a mage. I say this because at the end of the game the main opponets are more resistent to magic than weapons and a paladin with cere summit is un belevibley hard and very good at killing the twins. with the right feat choice a fighter can fully compensate for his weaknesses a mage can have dispel slapped on him and the buffs are gone.
comnpleted this game 3 times without a mage and without my paladins or fighter dying once.

It can't be 20. Just read the ingame info about level pogressions. For example, monk gains 1d20+6 barehanded attack at level 21 and 1d20+10 at lvl 26. All ingame tables are up to lvl 30. If U play solo on HoF, U reach lvl 20 just in the first chapter.

Just few arguments to defend my viewpoint.

its possibal that progression beyond lev 20 is available only in heart of fury mode as i've never played it. not really an argument
and that aside its unfair to allow mages and clerics enhanced spell progression but not allow 5+ attacks for warriors.

The level cap is definitely 30, not 20. There's a mod for increasing it to 40.

Well, I agree that there is a lot of "unfair" things, it's not balanced at all, especially on HoF. U can also export/import your character several times and start with a 30-lvl character if U wish. Dats a game made for player's pleasure and everyone can play it as he/she wish. Imo if the character is overpowered, it becomes quickly boring to kill all those poor goblins and so on. The challenge is always necessary.

Spellcasters, summoning creatures to fight for them, are greatly advantaged on HoF. Try a 30-lvl melee fighter and, if U are not cautious, those "poor" goblins will quickly cut U in pieces.
