Weird Error when I try single player

Hey all,

I finally got my copy of Icewind Dale II and I cant seem to play single player. Game mode is set to single player, but when I click New Game it gives me this error "cannot connect to session" . I checked the manual and I dont see a resolution in there. Anyone know how I can fix this ?

I have this same problem and I have no idea how to solve it. I read somewhere that if you put in your IP adress manually it might fix it but it didn't work for me. Anyone know of a way to fix this?
