Two handed weapon and stength mod

I heard that all two-handed melee weapons have a 1.5 damage modifer to them. Is this true? A greatsword doing 2d6 damage plus 1.5 times your strength mod would do mucho damage if this is true.

It is true. Although it´s rounded down expr?)

20Str, makes +5 x 1.5 = 7.5, makes +7 damage.
