Technical problems with IWD & XP

Players who would like to run Icewind Dale on XP usually encounter problems like freezing cutscenes and other graphical/loading issues.

In most cases, replacing your graphic card driver with an older version helps, so it's best to test that before trying out anything else!

Neither have I fortunately, but I'll note down one of the more compatible Nvidia driver versions- 56.72.

If a graphics card is newer and the driver doesn't support that and a newer driver will be needed but generally the earlier drivers seem to work better.
