technical problems

I seem to experience alot of slowdowns and lag during battles and it's weird because my computer exceeds even the recommended requrements for IWD2 by alot. I never had this problem with other infinity games so I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this, without lowering the settings???

i think you shold check your CD ROM drive some older CD ROMs can't play certain newer games

this computer is just over a year old so I don't think that's the problem, but thanks for the reply
