Staff of Corrosion

My cousin says the Staff of Corrosion is outside the goblin warrens in one of the tents, is this true because when i look for it i can't find it and if not where is it?

your cousin is only partially correct.

the staff of corrosion may appear in the tents outside the warrens because the loot in the tents is one of the random treasure spots.

the place where you will always find staves of corrosion is on the body of a hatemaster (or dreadmaster, i forget which one). both of those enemies are found in abundance in the cleric tower of the severed hand in chapter 6. of course, at that time you wouldn't want the staff of corrosion anymore, which is why at that point they will give you tons of them.
