when you go up a level as a sorcerer you pick your spell you would like to learn. can you go back at anytime or is there anyway to change your spells and relearn different ones?

Simply put - no.

Like Bards, sorcerers "know" spells (rather than "learn" them from scrolls like a wizard). You wouldn't have a particularly good sorcerer if he/she "forgot" one of those spells would you?

You'll just have to try to anticipate what spells you'll need in the future when you select spells. Try and get a few summons, buffs, offensive spells, the works.

Try to get spells that become more powerful as you go up in levels.

For example, don't take the lower level Monster Summoning Spells. The monster summoned by Monster Summoning I is the same, regardless of whether you are 1st level or 15th level.

However, there are some summoning spells that are good, such as Spider Spawn (the spiders you summons get progressively tougher as you go up in levels.
