Saved Game question - this is weird!

I can't seem to find where the saved games directory is? I am able to go into the game and save and load games, but when I do a search on my c:\ drive for the saved games names nothing comes up. So I'm wondering where the program stores the game files? I unistalled the whole program and told it to delete saved games, and then I re-installed. When I went in to play the game all my old saved games still pop up under the "Load Game" option. Weird or what??

BTW the game is installed in the default path of c:\program files\black isle\icewind dale II.

A friend of mine has the game on his XP machine (mine is running Vista) and can see his saved games under a folder "mpsave" in his default game directory, but I don't have that folder in my game directory.

Is this a Vista issue? Does anyone have any ideas?

The folders are made AFTER you save for the first time.

There are two folders, saves and mpsave. The first one is for single player saves and the second one is for multiplayer saves.

You should still have them. The OS plays no part in this.

Actually I'm thinking Vista plays a role.. somehow.

I have the same issue and it's really weird. I can not see my saves and I have few of them. I see them in game, I can save and load and take screenshots. But the files can not be seen. As far as I knew, they were under game dir, I checked there but nothing. So I thought, they maybe in User documents, but nothing again. I checked alota places but still nothing. Then I said "Screw you Vista, if you are gonna be like that, I'm gonna hit you with your own weapon." and used Vista's (actually this may have existed in previous ms os's as well, I just never had used it) list of "last changed files" search thingie. I enter the game, overwrite a save. So the file is changed right? Wrong. Nothing shows. I make a new save and check latest files and nothing. I try save game names and nothing. I search for folder Mpsave but nothing. I've gone a little crazy, if anyone can help me, I'd really appriciate it. There is either a small issue or a funny(!) bug here, I'm guessing.

Btw, folders are shown to set both hidden, system and very important and exclusive !!1one!1 files.
