| | | Resurrection and Raise Dead don't work Am I missing something, or has anybody else noticed that Resurrection and Raise Dead scrolls don't seem to work? And certain healers throughout the game fail to raise a dead party member when you buy it, but some still work.

| | | Could you be a little more specific? Whom have you given the scrolls to? What level are you playing the game on, and is the dead character elven?

| | | I was in Dragon's Eye level 4 in the battle with the Beholder (which fell much easier than I thought), but my Strongheart Halfling Rogue/Mage fell early on from a petrify spell. In the middle of combat I de-petrified her, but the she just dropped dead right after. Resurrection nor Raise Dead scrolls had an effect at all. If a character is dead for good, shouldn't her portrait be gone? Anyways, I then went back to Kalduhar and tried to get Isalore to raise her, but again it wouldn't work. I tried my scrolls again, they didn't work. This happened before in the Fell Wood area where scrolls wouldn't work, but I just took the dead in question to the village and raised the character by use of the local healer and it worked. None of the characters in question were Elves and I'm playing with core rules, am I missing something?

| | | It says right in the manual that reincarnation and ressurection scrolls must be used in the location where the person died, so not like when you buy it at a temple.
That might be the problem. |

| | | Nope, I used it right after the battle, it still wouldn't work. A better question here would be, has anyone used a Raise Dead or Resurrection scroll with success?

| | | Nope, I can add to this, that I carried the most precious genie-bottle all the way until chapter five, then my cleric (the only raiser in the group) died, and I tried to wish him back. The genie works just like a transportable temple cleric, who can be summoned at will. But not even he could raise my group's cleric from the dead.
