Quickslots won't "save" what I put in them

Hi, I just recently picked up that IWD-compilation pack and, having played NWN a LOT, thought I'd start off with IWD2 (I kind of understand that ruleset ). When I'm in the game, however, I can't seem to get spells etc. to get in a quickslot when I want them there. I can click, for example, on a spell-quickslot, select a spell to put in it, and be allowed to cast that spell, but it won't show up in the slot, that just stays "empty".

I remember having a similar problem in Baldur's Gate, which turned out to be attributed to using a wireless mouse and keyboard. Uninstalling the Logitech-software fixed it then, but it didn't work this time around.

What might I try to solve this?

A friend of mine showed me some interesting things in the game tonight, turned out I left-clicked when I had to right-click one more time. So, problem solved!
