Quest for mandals sword (spoiler)

ok this is really starting to do my head in!

I've got the sword from the iron golem on level 3 in Dragon's Eye. I've gone back to Nheero and told him that basically i've found it and i will return it to Mandal....Right here's my problem...Mandal's spirit is NOT where his body was in fact his body is not where it was when I first came across it...so.....WHERE THE HELL IS HE??????? i've looked all over! I can't complete this area unless i give him the sword right? So i'm basically screwed unless someone out there can help me!

Any ideas?

Sorry, got no idea on this one, hope you've got a saved game handy!

One thought though, have you been to where the Ancient Wyvern has the mandrake root or whatever it is you need? You might find it's waiting for you now. Have you had the movie sequence where Mandal staggers around and gives you bits of info?

Did you identified that sword... for me if i do that game wont work for me..

Mandals spirtit is big skeleton yelling things like SWORD ... SWORD... and so on..

you may have to tell Nheero about Mandels fate first???
Also I think his spirit is on the west end somewhere in chapel??

no i haven't had the sequence where he shows you where the root is...I thought that happened when you gave him the sword? Am I wrong?

Luckily, I have a save but I think I might just do the whole of dragon's eye again otherwise i'm just going to waste my time walking round and round looking for the bloody spirit!

I also have a problem with returning this sword, being that i have the sword but i don't know how to give it back to the spirit, when i try this it says "sword, sword!" but it doesnt take the sword, it tried putting it in the chest next to him but nothing seems to work... any help?

I'm not sure why this has happened i've never experienced that before. I've only had a problem with the spirit or mandrake root not appearing...Perhaps you should reload?

Either that or search on the forum... i've discovered that there are loads of other people having problems with these particular quests. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help
