Personalized weapon in Gallway Trading Post

I'm in the first chapter, and have just arrived at the Gallway Trading Post in Targos. In the shop's inventory is a longsword that, depending on which character does the buying, changes its name to "Heart of nameofcharacter". It always remains a longsword, though. Now... that's screaming "Buy me because I am important to the plot". IS it important to the plot?

Nope. It actually changes its name from time to time depending on who's using it.
