Question New character without starting from the beginning?

Hello.

Just a question here.. can i add/remove/modify characters without starting over from the beginning? If i realize in chapter 3 that my party needs more fighters, it's rather annoying to start the whole game over. You probably know what i mean! Any solution to this problem?

you can add / remove char's at any time, the downside is they all start w/ no xp (unless adding a previously exported char)

first save your game, use a name like (making party changes) if you decide that you screwed yourself, you can always go back to this point.

now when you are looking at the screen in "normal" mode, there is a batch of icons to the right of the text scroll.

you want the lowest lect corner - charachter arbitration, click that and you can remover party menbers and add new ones.

While this is true, I wouldn't worry about it much, unless you replace all of your characters with L.1 chars. If you just replace a few, the game will adjust the EXP awards to net higher EXP per monster when your party's chars are of lower level. Those new chars will catch up quickly, and your old chars will benefit from the greater EXP as well. Go for it!

You may also want to export the chars you plan to remove, then--should you change your mind--you can bring them back to your partywithout having to go back to an old save.
