multiclassing question

I have a lvl 2 rogue/mage, and I can't use spells or thief right now. Is it just because I've only got one level of each? Will my next level into each one open up these abilities for me?

Weird,
you should be able to use both.
Do you have the spellcasting button (right click on a empty slot) and the thief button (same way)??
