| | | While we're on the subject...
I'm not really impressed with how the developers respond to the number of comments made about the release dates, point system, etc.
I's sure someone here will express how annoying a lot of the comments and questions the future customers ask actually are, but I will disagree.
Still I think its bad business practice to chide and scold your customers...To tell them you don't care what they think, or that they had better play the game before stating an opinion.
You can see examples at planetbg in new and archived news. |

| | | And when the game is out the same people are going to complain that it is buggy and should have been tested more. Poor developers, they can never get it right. Maybe one day they are fed up with this and stop releasing games alltogether. Thank you! |

| | | Ha.
Maybe one day we'll all get sick of going to work and quit...and starve to death.
Its their job. They are developers. For those of them who have been assigned by their company the role of communicating developments to the public, they are doing their job. They should do so professionally. |

Because what you're discussing is really not IWD2 release dates, but the way any developer represents themselves when dealing with the public--a much broader theme.

| | | I expected you to say that. However, what I am talking about is IWDII and the developers and public affairs officers working on it, and not making generalizations about developers as a group. |

| | Then instead of placing your comments within a topic devoted to the release date of IWD2, why not start up a separate topic under IWD2 to discuss the developer's presumed attitude? You'll get more direct mileage, that way. Just a suggestion, mind you.

| | | You are wrong. There are a few of them (the ones to whom I am referring) who get paid to read and respond to concerns from their customer base (See planetbg, post J.E. Sawyer, yesterday, 22 July). They are (in part) public relations officers. This is a fact; if you think I'm lying, check out their job descriptions.
So, to put it as eloquently as you, it is their job to listen to "bull****."
And thank you. |

| | | Well if you would have been a bit more specific about what J.E. Sawyer wrote, I would know what to say about that. But I suggest that you take the developers and the company to court and sue them for *loss of enjoyment due to the delayed release of their game.* And, by the way: If my English is not eloquent enough for you feel free to continue the discussion in any of the following languages: Spanish, French, Italian, German, Dutch or Portuges. Gracias |

| | | Seems to me that people are getting REALLY pissed off beause the release date is still a BIG question mark...well I´ve heard that it should be out next month according to all the info here and other sites and I must say that it worries me cos´ it´s already 24th of July...but we can´t make the game come out sooner no matter how much we write angry notes to them and each others so let´s cool down, okay? We´re all pissed off but I´m sure that this delay is only GOOD for the game. Think about games like Daikatana and other buggy games and re-consider your writings.

| | | I think I was pretty specific with examples of what has been said Tegoyo. I even provided you with a page at which to look so you could see what I am talking about.
I'm almost as unimpressed with how many languages you may speak as I am uninterested in getting involved in a personal exchange with you.
What I am stating is an opinion; a reasonable opinion based on written responses Black Isles reps have made to the public. Agree, disagree, get your feelings hurt, rightgeously defend the developers, what have you.
Mianna I agree with you but I gotta say again it's not the release date itself but the attitude of the company selling it as expressed by its developers. |

| | | Ill Will, I am certainly uninterested in an personal exchange with you, and I don`t need to impress you with my language ability. (You didn`t get my point anyhow.) And if you quote someone it is good manners to at least put a link. If you dont know how to do that, let me know and I will explain it to you. |
