Wisdom doesn't affect caster levels man, modifying it wouldn't change the caster level at all.

Or are you more implying how many times per day her spells can be used and/or the highest level of spells she can use?

The thing is, you have to have your wisdom equal to the spell level +10 to cast it.

Thus, to cast a 1st level spell, you need a 11 wisdom, a third level spell needs a 13. If you only have a 12 wisdom, you can't cast sixth level spells (as you need a 16 wisdom to do so).

I don't know what to suggest as I don't know or do any cheats in that game (plus I haven't played for so long), but just remember that. To get 9th level spells as early on as possible, start with a 15 wisdom and keep pumping into wisdom (or whatever your spellcasting score is) until you reach 19 and beyond.

So you're willing to cheat, eh? Are you sure? Ok, ok. I'll assume you know the basics of how to do that (if you don't, let me know), and I'll get to the specifics.

If you cheat up a Potion of Clear Purpose, your character will gain 1 wisdom. But, your character will loose 2 constitution. A Potion of Constitution adds 1 to constitution. So for every Potion of Clear Purpose you create, you want to create 2 Potions of Constitution.

The codes:
Potion of Clear Purpose: 00POTN99
Potion of Constitution: 00POTN94

Gotta love the way Infinity games can be... "modified."

Or just download Dalekeeper and modify your stats.

Well there's the problem. You didn't read the rules before starting. You have a 12 Wisdom and should have close to a 19 if you want to get up to 9th level cleric spells.

The potion thing is a bad idea, as it drops another stat, why do that if you are actually going to cheat?? Look here, google does wonders, another life lesson.

Items...

I know that for a wizard, you don't need a base INT of 16 to cast 6th level spells - just items that boost your INT (which are pretty rare).

If the same holds true for WIS, then these items:
Every God Ring: +5 WIS - Kuldahar
Potion of Holy Transference: permanent +2 WIS (-1 DEX) - Ice Temple Battle Square

, mean you could have a WIS of 9 and still get to cast those 6th level spells.

If you don't want to cheat:

I guess your cleric has 12 wisdom now so she can cast only level2 spells.
When she reaches level 12 you can raise the wis stat to 13, allowing her to cast level 3 spells.
When you defeat the second rank at the battle squares (you can return there unless you have already entered Kuldahar) you'll gain a potion which lowers dex by one and increases wis by two. With 15 wis she cast level 5 spells.
Once you reach Kuldahar you can buy a ring which grants +5 wis bonus which should be enough to cast all spell levels then.
At level 16 she'll gain another stat increase which you can spend for wisdom.

Check if your other spellcasters have the stats needed to cast high level spells (wis for druids, cha for sorcerers and bards, int for wizards) and if you can get them high enough with the stat raises at level 12 and 16 and other stat increasing items like rings.

@kmonster:
Do you consider casting Eagle's Splendor (so you can cast more spells) a cheat? Having a WIS of 12 to cast 2nd level spells is fine, but if you wear the Every God Ring to boost your WIS to 17, you also get an extra 2nd and 3rd level spell. Do you consider picking and casting those "free" spells cheating?
I think not...

The aim is not a "cheat", but to boost your characters beyond what you originally created - items such as I described allow the character to have a use without REAL cheating, i.e. editing through a program like Dalekeeper.

@Jelaweb:
The "If you don't want to cheat" wasn't aimed at the suggestions in your post. I hope those facts will make it obvious for you and evryone else:

- I posted 1 minute after you posted. I wish I'd be fast enough to read a posting and write a longer one afterwards in just 1 minute, but I'm not superhuman. It's more likely that I even didn't know your post.
- The things suggested in your post were also suggested in my post.

My apologies, because I was in a pretty bad mood - I think I just lost it a bit...

I think I took it a bit personally, because I don't think boosting your spellcasting stats so you can cast spells you would otherwise be unable to do is cheating. I call it "taking advantage of the game mechanics" in precisely the same way as using certain spell combinations (e.g. Mirror Image + Fire Shield, or Mordy's Sword + Tensor's).

Anyway, this is the sort of thing I only do for multi-class builds...

I think this particular topic probably has more to do with pre-planning your characters, so you don't make any mistakes at character creation, which will limit your play as the game progresses.
I think this is the real solution to the problem!
