HELP !! technical problem ..

well , you see , this is problem i've encounter .

there are 2 places , ( up to date , i haven't been further ) that gives me incredible lag. whenever i enter Targos' main town and Goblin Warrens Level 2 my character sort of freezes for 1 second every few steps i take . i tried to take it in stride but it has become incredibly annoying . funny thing is that this " lag " only occurs at these 2 area , not anywhere else ( i was ok at Goblin Warrens Level 1) .

so please , anyone , do reply should you have any suggestion that might help me solve this problem . real pain in the arse to try enjoy the game this way. appreciated

The lag on the Goblin Warrens lvl 2 is a massive bug. The lag happens to everyone and I don't think there's any way to fix it.

A lag in Targos is a bit strange. Is it a general lag, or just when you give movement commands? If the latter, it could be in part due to pathfinding issues that crop up in the IWD games. Messing around with your graphics and maybe increasing the pathfinding nodes are all I can suggest.

There's always a lag when talking to Oswald; must be a bug.

try disabling 3d acceleration, that sometimes works for me.

Oh, yes absolutely. That's the first thing to do, especially if playing on an older system (like me). You can also experiment with taking off some of the other optional graphics like weather effects.

My thanks Aerich , Mr_sir .. but

but it still doens't work for me , i've tried almost all options , switching off a lot of enhancement but still it lags ... IMO it shouldn't be the graphics though , since it only occurs at that 2 place in particular .. not all of them ( plus i've played WoW smoothly on this system ) .. was wondering if they could fix it with a new patch or something ... i almost killed myself because of it .. should it happen again ..... god .. lolx ~~

Try clearing out your cache folder.

To my knowledge, there is no general stutter bug in Targos.

If you aren't patched up, you should be. Get the patch from fileplanet or sorcerers.net. It might help the Targos situation. There will be no new patches, since Black Isle Studios is no more.

There is nothing you can do about the Goblin Warrens except grit your teeth.

It's possible that you have a corrupted file somewhere, so a "final solution" might be to reinstall (after backing up your saved games).

Go here

Try the link I provided. Download the first available file. I believe it says something to the effect of "slow down fixes."

Install that.
