Helmets

Do helmets still have their traditional effect of protecting against critical hits cause the item description for helmets is decidedly un-descriptive when it comes to its purpose and doesn't say weather or not it does this. Also, because it doesn't say its purpose I can't help thinking theres some penalty when giving classes that traditionaly cannot wear helmets, a helmet like the wizard, sorceror, bard, and rouge. Can anyone please clarify this for me?

In 3E helmets do NOT protect from Critical Hits, actually nothing does protect at all...

There are no more restrictions on classes from wearing helmets.

Unfortunately there aren´t many useful helmets....
