Thumbs up Finished it! <Spoilers inside>

Well, I finally finished IWD2, and loved it.

My party:

1: Galadrad: Half-Elf Fighter
2: Fildi: Shield Dwarf Fighter/Barbarian (Fighter12/Barb+)
3: Estella: Gold Dwarf Battleguard of Tempus
4: Noreah: Half Elf Druid
5: Dazzo "The Finger" (gotta love the Matrix ): Strongheart Halfling Rogue
6: Theoril: Wild Elf Sorceror

I usually prefer combat parties, and mostly my party is like Fighter Monk Paladin Rogue Sorceror Cleric, but i felt like using a druid once

Druids are a great class.. they kinda suck in the beginning but get some great stuff later in the game.

Battleguards of Tempus are fine backup tanks, especially dwarfs with High con Gotta love that Axe Focus feat from the beginning.

Never played a sorceror before in any d&d game, and I must say Im impressed! I never used alot of spells anyway, just more of the same instead of alot of single different spells. Same story as the druid; gets stronger as you level

The rogue: well, im a big rogue fan, and after a short trip to Neverwinter (bwegh, hate that game), a dead Irenicus, a dead TOB-***** (what was her name again), and alot of spiketraps, our hero Dazzo is back I still miss the Assasin and Swashbuckler kits, but once again he is kicking butts.
I must say I was worried at the beginning.. only one backstab on every enemy, no more dual longsword wielding (no more +hit swashbuckler bonusses, and worse penalties.. I think?), no spike traps (was too easy with them anyway). But, hes a killing machine.. doesnt do much damage a hit, but does hit fast.

The worst battles in the game were -without any doubt-:

1: The Warg riding goblin camp with the drums near the goblin warrens.

2: That weird god (or was it the son of a god?) avatar in the severed hand.

The final battle wasnt really THAT hard. I was lvl 15 when I finished (I know.. I tend to rush through games the first time i play them) Only my rogue was L16 cause of that book you can buy that gives 10000 xp.

While my 2 fighters ran through Isair and started hacking and slashing, my rogue ran to the summon guy and slaughtered him, my druid and cleric kept my tanks alive and they also killed some of the henchmen, my sorceror got the attention of one of the henchman and all he could do was run around and holding stuff with our most beloved spell: Chromatic Orb. (still remember the time my bard killed the shadow dragon in BG2 with Chromatic Orb when all hope seemed to be lost ).

Besides this, the only thing that matters is keepign your healers near the tanks while the tanks slash and hack Isair.

Most important is getting rid of the summon guy that is hidding in the right wing.

When Isair started crying about his HP and ran off, I just healed my tanks and Sorceror (the others were still above 80% hp), rehasted, and moved to the other room, where it took like 5 seconds before Orrick the Grey showed up, and the twins started crying AGAIN.

Now, its time for HoF

Why was that hard? What kind of tactics did you use? I usually tend to be pretty..."direct" with my party, but stealth and archers made it pretty easy to take those fights one at a time. I took out the drums first no matter what it took, then retreated to my tanks and fought them as they came. In HoF there is a dagger for sale in Targos that slays goblins every hit, was that availible in non-HoF? I didn't use it the first time, but it would've helped. Maybe there weren't as many goblins there as I'm thinking I remeber.

Did you have any trouble fighting the 6 Fallen Ones (or what'er they were called) for Cera Sumat?

For me that was probably the thoughest fight. That and The Guardian. Both involved a lot of running around of the characters that were targetted.

The final battle I succeeded in my third attempt. The biggest problem was that blasphemy spell that was cast at my party every time. It froze them in place and one or two of them were dead in no time. At the third attempt one of the six got severly hurt but survided. It was rather easy after that. Just traget Isair as you said.
BTW is there any way to protect yourself from a blasphemy spell?

oh

No, the dagger isnt available in non-HoF.
And oh.. I forgot the " Six" battle..
damn yeah that was hard

But, if you know the right order to kill them its doable..
First I killed the casters, then slaughtered the other melee's, and finished the fight with killing the tough dwarf =/

Well placed summons is the key here
