Disarming Traps in Yuan-Ti Temple

I just finished wiping out the Yuan-Ti Temple. During my efforts I had my fighter/rogue who has a fairly decent "search" ability of 17 I couldn't detect any traps. Got surprised by one and then had my cleric cast find traps (he is 14th level btw not that it should make a difference with that spell). Neither one could ever detect them. I then went to the walkthrough on this site to see if I missed something. The walkthrough says you need to disarm the traps. I know that there are times when the skill check for something is high so a search might not work but find traps should have revealed them. Is there a bug, did I miss something, or is the GameBanshee walkthrough wrong? Are these traps undetectable? Has anyone found a way to disarm them?

Honestly, with the exception of two traps in dragon's eye and one trap in the severed hand, I just walk over them. For the most part, they're pretty harmless and you waste more time searching for them than I care to waste. If you had a lead character with magic resistance (drow/deep gnome) then you don't even have to worry about the big traps.

edit:
In the yuan ti temple, the traps are all in obvious places. If it looks like there could be a trap to your eye, there's probably a trap there. Just focus on those spots. Walk slowly and be patient.
