| | Cleric or Druid When I create a party, I always only have 1 pries-spell caster.
Which one should I take? Cleric or druid?
And what are the benefits of both?
I tend to like druids better, but for no apparent reason, and i'm not familiar with third edition druids or clerics.

| | I've only just started playing IWD 2, but here's what i know, based on PnP 3e:
Clerics get more healing spells, since they can "spontaneously cast" cure spells (they can drop spells they've prepared for a cure spell of the same level), so they are better healers (and they get Mass Heal, though i doubt it's implemented in IWD 2.)
Clerics also get domain spells: an extra spell per level from a certain them (such as fire, evil or healing), the domains depending on the god whose follower your cleric is.
Druids cant use ANY iron, meaning the heaviyest armor they can wear is hide, and they're stuck with clubs forever. Druids get moer nature-oriented spells, just like in BG2.(Creeping Doom! yay! If this spell works like in PnP, it deals 1000 damage to cretaures in the area who can be hurt by nonmagical weapons) Also, they can wild shape several times a day. This means changing into an animal, thereby gaining its STR, DEX, CON, and a bonus to AC (if any.)
P.S: I frequently have eels in my car. Know a good exterminator?

| | | As I am aware from the multiclass thread, Druids rock in IWD2.
They're over-powered, apparently. |

| | | I think at 16th level I had like 7 shapechanges for my druid and she could wear heavy armour abd still cast spells. Shape changing is one way to heal 12 hitpoints at a time |

Take both and drop a tank !
My next party could be
Tank
rogue (with some warrior lev.)
Cleric
Sorcerer
Wizard
Druid
Eventually one of the last two can be changed to a Bard. |

I'd take a druid any day. Shapechange dire panther/bear is awesome, they get rock-hard spells like creeping doom and smashing wave, and there is some hardcore equipment for them out there. |
