Bard question

Frome what I remeber playing NWN bards spells are charisma based like sorcerors, I have a bard with 16 cha(+2 bonus) and 14 int (+1 bonus). So if indeed bards had charisma based spells then I should get to cast X number of spells +2, but in the character sheet it says X number of spells +1, which suggest that bard spells in IWD2 are based on intelligence. So I would appreciate if those who know more about the rules can clarify this for me.

Bard spells are based on charisma. They cast spells just like sorcerers
