It sounds weird, that means that either one of us has some kind of bug or that the german version and the european english version (also patched out of the box, at least so it's said) are different in some way.
I've never seen anithing better than the greater boneguard/zobie lord coming out of the spell, and never a mummy king (which should be much better than the zombie lord). Also the mummy kings should have some kind of auras that damage who stays close to the creature, is it right?
Anyway which is the experience of other player (expecially european ones) about these summons?

...hmmm...-...very strange...

seems that 1.02 isn't completely identical - and there are already a few other cases!

btw. both Mummy Kings and Drowned Dead aren't that great from my point of view...

...they are good cannon fodder - but in the fights where you could need some summons they don't do that much damage...-...and they slow down party movement rate...

...the BS drowned dead gave me a little headache - cause they aren't affected from disruption and need some time to get killed...-...but most of the normal summons aren't that great - at least in normal mode!

Just to clarify: Hook horrors are not undead. They are also not treants: treants are like evil living trees, basically.

Yes hook horrors aint treants...

BUT... Due to reading long time ago some drizzt dork'urden books.. i could say that they met hook horrors.. hook horrons aint tree's but those are something similar... wood like creatures.. so axes are good.. but my memory is blurry on this matter.. so has anyone else read that book? Drizzt and his friends were going to mithril halls.. well they were searching those..

I think the poster may have been mistaken; there is no creature in IWD2 with crypt as part of it's name, and nothing with horror in it's name that sounds similar. Unless they were playing a non-English version of the game with a different translation of creature names.

Hook horrors aren't woodlike either, I am pretty sure they are meant to be almost like a cross between reptiles and insects.

How can you be sure? Do you have any proof?

Yes i admit people might get wrong idea... But i will try explain it as good as i can... since drizzt and his friends were fightning.. drizzt swords were useless.. but axes were quite good in matter of killing those.. i am not sure but there was small description of them being/having wood like skill...

as said in my first post "crypt horror" is only the translated name so I have no idea how they are called in the english version!

btw. they look like a skeleton with a black helmet and a grey/green cloak...

...and you will meet some at the lower battle square ranks!

A screenshot of said creature might also help to clear things up.

They might be what in the english version are called "Cold bones".
They look/are kind of small skeletons, you can find them in the lower lev. of BS and in field of slaughter, I seem to remember they have helmet and a cloak.

.

ok had a closer look...

in the GER version they are called "Grab Gruft-Schrecken" what you could translate as: "tomb crypt-horror" what should also sound roughly as stupid as the GER name!

and they are definetly not the "cold bones" you find on the fields nor "hook horrors" you find at the underdark passage...

they look like a skeleton wearing a grey/brown/green(?) barbarian/hide armor, hide boots, a black helmet and a shield

and I only found them on the lower battle square levels so far!

and my level 15 cleric summons them and Mummy Kings!
