| |  yxunomei dragon eye level 5
I am having a hard time getting the gem frome yxunomei any tipps would help all my charachters are 0 armor class and 70 +hitt point but i just cant seem to get pass this part,i am also using all +2 wepons and pluss 2 arrows |

| | have mages memorize area of effect spell ecept at the level 1 spells wich should be magic missile.(buy the scroll if you dont have it from the mage in kuldahar.) the fireball scroll for level three area of effect is great too so get your mage to learn it.(scroll from snake statue lv 1 of dragons eye)

| | | Don't forget about haste: I just take out Yxu with a hasted archer standing in the doorway while the rest of the party covers the incoming Yuanti. The archer kills her before we can even get to melee. And don't forget about web for the baddie hordes while your missle weapons fly...

| | | Haste, stoneskin, summon undead, mirror image, fireball, kick booty. Concentrate on one target until it goes down before moving on to the next.
You can deal with Yx either first or last, I don't think it matters much. She packs more punch, but also holds out much longer. Either you pound the cronies with Yx at your back, or you pound Yx with all her cronies at your back. |

Just killed her/it with a 5 member party (paladin, ranger/cleric, conjuror, fighter and fighter/theif). Hasted the party, had fighter/theif use +2 arrows on her until she and her minions attacked the party. Then threw entire group at her. She died quickly with +2 weapons and mage spells, mostly chromatic orbs, acid arrows, etc. I stayed out of her lair and lured the beasties into the corridor where I slew them easily. This has always been a tough battle for me in the past but this time she went down in a flash.

i lured some of them out and whacked themthe went to res to take on te rest of them. however. when i got back the gate was locked how do i get back in to finish and et the eartstone?  |

yes i tried pick lock. i get the msage than it cant be picked and is warded against simple spels. so what hAPPEED THAT ITS LOCKED,ANDHOW DO I GT BACK IN TO WHACK THE BRAT?? |

| | | This is a guess-- On the 4th lvl of DE(dragons eye) the first mage you talk to when you enter has a key on his person. It is CRUCIAL that once he is wacked you pick up the key. If thats not it, then maybe one of the Yuanti you killed has a key on his person perhaps?
Also, tip to kill the brat-- Send in a Thief w/invisibility on and hiding in shadows for backup. Then disable all floor traps and scout out the remainder of the room. Then have a mage summon some monsters and a cleric summon some undead. Have them go in and disctract her while your other characters hit her with ranged attacks and magic. Area affect spells are very useful. I killed her with a 4 person party of a Fighter, Fighter/thief, fighter/cleric, and a mage. If she targets one of you characters, have them run around like a mad beast while the others pelt her. Kinda cheesy, but it works.
