tab function?

Hi, just loaded up IWD as I had so much fun the first time through a year or so ago. The problem is I'm sure last time I played, you could hit tab to highlight chests, doors, enemy drops etc...but it's disappeared. Does anyone know if I've got this wrong, and if not, how do I get my tab function back?

I don't want to make the game easier, it's just taking me so long to get anywhere as I have to mouseover pretty much the whole map everywhere I go to make sure I haven't missed anything.

heh, it's alt...sure this wasn't working before I got to The Vale of Shadows...pls ignore this thread.

The ALT key does this for me. It may be a HoW feature, though.
