| | Svirfneblin Village?? A couple of questions???
1.The Svirfneblin said "Nym gets to our village by levitating up through that black hole. It's rumored that somewhere around here, there's a stash of potions and boots that can allow others to levitate..."
Has anyone found this stash??
2.The Svirfneblin said "Some say that a failed paladin wanders the halls of Lower Dorn's,eternally searching for those responsible for the war between the elves and the dwarves."
Where is this paladin at?

| | Good questions weasel. I only ever heard the paladin one though - maybe that's who "pale justice" belonged too?
Have you been able to Kill Nym? I hadn't realised he telported to the other side of the stone circle but I got him anyway - if you're quick you can disrupt his spells. http://www.gamebanshee.com/ubb/wink.gif |

| | @Gruntboy...yes I killed Nym...I set up a trap and got him...no boots of levitating...I have a save right before this...give me a little while and I will post the loot..
The paladin might be the one they are talking about. I was just wondering if Nym might be tied in to this.. |

| | Nym had the Rhino Beetle Shield and 33397 gold pieces on him. I killed him 3 times to make sure it wasn't random.
Now I did get him to enchant the Rhino Beetle Shield and he gave me a shield back after 10 days...plus I got a dagger too. |

I found the body with the sword...
Something else too...I e-mailed it to Buck...If you take the book out of Evayne's tomb in the Hall of the Hero's and take it back to Larrel you will get some exp points.
I couldn't find this in the walk thru....did you do this? |

| | Oh yeah, I remember the body now. He's gotta be the Paladin. As for the stash?
Yeah, I got the XP for Evayne's book.
There is another one not in the walkthrough. Way back in Kressalack's tomb, 1s level. If you talk to Mytos the bone-dude and ask every possible pacifistic response ("will you allow us to search?"), you get XP for trying to resolve the situation peacefully.
Also, did you get "mantle of the coming storm" cloak from the inn-keeper in Kuldahar? |

| | There's always little surprises. It took me the 2nd time through to come up with the right dialogue to access the spell menu from the guy in upper dorns deep..the one who sends you looking for his apprentice. My major complaint is trekking back and forth from the severed hand to lower dorns. You'd think Laeral could teleport you all the way. |

| | Yeah, I finaly got those elemental spells. Well hidden option eh?
About the severed hand - I guess they figured people would forget the squirrels/books etc or not bother cos its so far. There's lots of walking around, like when you get to Kresselak, go out to kill the priestess and go back to K. I mean, what the hell is that? If I wanted an exercise bike I'd buy one, not play IWD (still a great game though http://www.gamebanshee.com/ubb/wink.gif | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
